A FULL list of divisional officers has been published by the Freight Transport Association following the divisions' recent annual general meetings.

Among the 24 divisional chairmen for 1984/85 are: J. Cochrane of Tennent Caledonian Breweries — West Scotland; P. Prior (Ketton Cement) — Lincolnshire; J. Gaunt (Marston, Thompson and Evershed) — North West Midlands; N. Whitaker (W. and J. Pye) — North West; R. Oliphant (Robert Hutchison and Co) — West Scotland; D. Pick (Whitworth Holdings) — East Midlands; R. Daniells (Tricorn Supplies) Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire; G. Rose (Dairy Crest Transport) — South East Counties; W. Preston (Fort Sterling) — Greater Manchester; F. Haynes (Heavy Transport (ECC)) — Devon and Cornwall; Steve Watson (Jewsons) — Anglia; J. Green (Courage (Central) — Thames Valley; E. Martin (RHM Foods) — Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire; and D. Dormer (John Smith Tadcaster Brewery) — East Riding.

Both with Wincanton Transport, Jeff Lemon and Keith Reed are respectively chairmen of the Greater London, and Avon and Wessex divisions. D. Bliss (United Agricultural Merchants) is chairman of Solent; Dr W. Gallagher (ICI) chairs North East division; and N. Root (Whitbread Wales) has South Wales chairmanship.

The remaining chairmen are Derek Joyce (H. P. Bulmer) — West Mercia; P. McCulla (Joseph Crosfield and Sons) — Merseyside; A. Cowie (Davidson Radcliffe) — North Scotland; D. Barker Magnet Joinery) — South and West Yorkshire; and Don Johnson (Albright and Wilson) — West Central Midlands. BRISTOL-BASED BRS Western has a new marketing services manager and a new Personnel and Training Officer.

The former post has been filled by John McLellan, who joined the company as a management trainee in 1978 having graduated from Swansea University. Between then and his present appointment he has held several posts, including special projects assistant, truck rental manager at Avonmouth and, most recently, assistant manager of the company's Bridgend branch.

Geoff Woodward joins BRS Western from Frigoscandia to become personnel and training officer. Before his recent move he was personnel officer with the cold storage and refrigerated transport company.
