Tibbett and Britten chairman John Tibbett is retiring from full-time duties to work on a E new private venture. He has -Spent 20 years building Tibbettand Britten into Europe's largest hanging garment distribution network.

George Shaw, Western National's chief engineer, takes over as general manager of Lincolnshire Road Car on June 1. He began his career with Leyland Motors in 1955, and entered the operating industry with Eastern Counties in 1961.

Transfleet has appointed 1. F. Scott as its assistant managing director, and S. F. Gregory as marketing manager. The company's Scottish region appointed J. Wallace as its contract services manager. C. McLeod as its market development manager, .1. Bundy as its Stirling depot manager, and C. Newbold as its Stirling depot truck rental manager. all with effect from May 1. P. Morrison is the new Alexander (Northern) assistant engineer. He succeeds Angus Macdonald who died last December.

Leyland Vehicles has appointed David Kimbell as director of its newly-formed overseas division. He is responsible for sales, marketing, and service outside Europe as part of an operation taken over from Leyland International. He will be based in the overseas division's London office. Mr Kimbell has worked with Leyland since 1966 and has worked with Leyland International. Fred Billyard, previously with Duple, is UK sales manager with Cranes and' Commercial Exports Ltd's passenger service vehicle division at Lasharn. near Alton. Hants.

Rodney Perkins, formerly a GEC senior test technician. has been appointed service engineer with Harlem Wilcomatic.
