A new electric truck has been added to the petrol and diesel range of Wantage Engineering. It is designed specifically for applications where environmental conditions make an electric truck preferable to internal combustion.

Powered by a Win Normand electric motor, the truck has a carrying capacity of up to 1 ton and a battery capacity of nine hours. A top speed of 8mph is claimed when travelling on the level and loaded to capacity.

It is a front-wheel-drive vehicle, the power being transmitted from the motor by chain drive and it is claimed that the truck can handle gradients of up to 1 in 7 even when fully laden.
