• Exel is renaming its tanker division which specialises in chemicals, petroleum and bulk food distribution.
Tankfreight is being absorbed into the Exel brand which has been progressively rolled out since July 2000. "We operate in 120 countries and ft's much easier for customers in them to deal with one name rather than lots of different fragments of the business," says a spokeswoman.
Tanlcfreight employs 1,160 drivers and has a fleet of 750 trucks.
