THE Pictorial History of British Road Services will be published on June 17. It portrays the eventful 35-year history of BRS.
It starts at a time when the BRS comprised 2,000 longdistance haulage companies, with 35,000 lorries, 1,400 horsedrawn vehicles and even a number of ferry boats. The book then traces the fortunes and ac tivities of this state-owned group of companies through to the present time.
The book is published by F. Warne and compiled by Nick Baldwin. It costs £8.95 and is obtainable from most bookshops,
