Niger Motors Ltd., Apapa, has ordered 43 chassis, comprising Monarch four-wheelers, Mandator rigid and articulated models, and Mammoth Major sixwheelers, for operation in the eastern coastal districts of Nigeria. A.E.C. Vehicles (S.A.) Ltd., has specified 10 Mammoth Major eightwheeler chassis to form the basis of 25-ton mobile cranes.

SCAM MELLS FOR RUMANIA : Three Scammell 6 x 6 Super Constructor tractors have been ordered for service in Rumania. They will be used in push p1111 combination for hauling a 250-ton crane trailer with equipment and plant for the Galati Plate Mill. The tractors will be fitted with ballast bodies and double compartment cabs, and equipped with Tannoy Intercom equipment, Each tractor will have a 15-ton winch and an "A '' frame carried on the front bumper mounting, capable of a 4-ton lift.

MORE TASKERS TRAILERS: Talkers of Andover (1932) Ltd. has received the following orders for trailers: Trarrsaids; 12 72-ton Super Straights; Shahnawaz Ltd., six 4-ton cable drum and eight 8-ton limber carriers for export; the Admiralty, 15 two-wheeled tippers; Princes (Sales) Ltd., three 15-ton Twinsides; Wadhams Ltd., four 8-ton Step frames; and B.R.S., three 8-ton Step frames.

MORE MONARCHS FOR PORTUGAL: U.T.I.C., Lisbon, A.E.C. distributors in Portugal, has ordered a further 10 Monarch goods chassis.

PHILIPPINES CALL FOR MORE A.E.C.s: Heavy vehicle operators in the Philippines. where A.E.C. model's have been available for less than two years, have placed orders for a further 20 passenger and goods chassis, to be supplied c.k.d. for assembly by A.E.C. distributors Marvex Commercial Company Inc., Manila. The passenger chassis will comprise 10 Rangers, of varying wheelbases, all to be fitted with locally built bodies, and will be used on inter-town passenger/freight services. The balance will be made up by Monarch chassis also to be bodied locally, and to be used on timber haulage.

EATON AXLES FOR ITALY: Eaton Axles Ltd., Warrington, has received a substantial initial order from Fiat, S.P.A. for axle equipment. This will be used on Fiat heavyduty goods chassis manufactured at the Italian company's Turin works.

HIMALAYANS FOR MOBILE CRANES: K. and L. Steel Founders Ltd. has ordered .18 Scaminell Himalayan 6 x 4 chassis to form the basis of Jones Mobile Cranes of 10and 15-ton capacities for various customers.
