Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

PAA w NEW fleet of 28 low-weight single deck buses has been ordered from Leyland Motors, Ltd., and Albion Motors. Ltd., Glasgow, for the Barbados transport board, at a cost of more than £100,000. The buses will be 30-ft. long Leyland Tiger Cub (PSUC 1.4) and 27-ft. Albion Victor (VT 1 7N) models. They will be powered by the Leyland 0.350 oil-engine, which will ensure standardization and interchangeability of parts. The Tiger Cubs,-42-scaters—will have horizontal engines below floor level and the Victors —seating 37 passengers—will be fitted with a vertical engine at the front. Fully automatic transmissions have been specified for the under-floor engined buses. They will have the PneumoCyclic gearbox as well as two-speed axles. A special fitment in each gearbox will ensure that the bus does not roll backwards on steep hills.

LARGER BEDFORD VAN

A VAILABLE in 10-12-cwt. and 15-cwt. 1-1. versions, a new model of the Bedford light van with wheelbase increased by 1 ft. and internal capacity extended by 20 per cent, has been introduced. 'Body length behind the driver, is 7 ft. 111 in. and the load space is 171 cu. ft. Larger sliding doors are fitted. The turning circle at 37 ft. is 3 ft. greater than that of the shorter model, which will continue in production. The new 10-12-cwt. van costs £470 and the 15-cwt. £470 in primer, plus £12 10s. for factory painting.

Overweight 'Lorry :

THE special A licence of J. B. Hudson. Ltd., Mtinthorpe, Westmorland, was revoked by Mr. J. A. T., Hanlon, Northern Area Licensing Authority, at an adjourned hearing on Monday of their application for an A licence consequent upon the expiry of their special A licence.

Mr. Hanlon indicated that he would m

be prepared, after three months, to grant a licence for a vehicle at the original weight specified on their licence, so that, In effect, the licence would be suspended rather than revoked. The application was previously Mr adjourned on May 1 after M. Hanlon had heard evidence that the company an were operating the vehicle with extra n axle and at a heavier unlade weight than was authorized, and after hearing evidence that they had sought the advice of the Road Haulage Association. He then said he would expect a representative from the Association to appear. Mr. T. H. Campbell Ward law, representing the company, said that since the last hearing the applicants had received a notice of revocation from the Licensing Authority on the ground that they had not carried out the intentions made on their application form.
