LONDON COUNTRY is celebrating the golden jubilee of its Green Line services, and is conducting an evaluation of new coaches.
As part of a vigorous advertising campaign for Green Line, London Country is placing five coaches in service in a special gold, green, and white livery, and the campaign to sell the service will be mounted on several fronts.
The company is also placing four trial coaches in service to establish what type will make a suitable replacement for the now obsolete AEC Reliance.
In addition to two Volvo B58 coaches, the first B58s for National Bus two Leyland Leopards are being modified to suit the company's requirements. All will be fitted with Duple Dominant coach bodies, and they will be pitted against each other on the tough routes around the capital.
