• A luncheon to mark the opening of the IoTA's national hq in Southampton was held there on Saturday.
The move by the Institute to Southampton was welcomed by the Mayor, Alderman Mrs L. A. Ironside, who was one of the principal guests, and was echoed by Brig R. A. Nightingale, Commandant of the Army School of Transport, who talked of the link-up between the Institute and the Army on an educational basis.
