Coaches, Ltd., for additional picking-up points was opposed by four other operators at Bristol, last week, the Western Licensing Authority, Mr.
S. W. Nelson, asked all the parties concerned to retire to discuss a plan which would avoid a number of individual applications.
After half-an-hour, the representaLives of the five operators said they had agreed to hold a meeting of all operators in the area, including British RailWays, so that applications could be made by agreement.
Asked what system would be likely to receive most approval, Mr. Nelson replied that it should be possible to work out a scheme satisfactory to all parties, and which would result in a better service to the public.
