The 50-acre site at Lillyhall Industrial Estate, near Workington, which has been empty since 1992, will service Stobart's contracts in West Cumbria. Stobart recently signed a Lim deal with Smiths medical group.

The new site will enable the company to double the size of its operations in the region over the next three years; 80 vehicles are currently based at its Carlisle depot.
