Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

ONLY four tram services remain at Sheffield, following the closure of the Brightside route last Saturday. It was the seventh tram service to be withdrawn since 1952. The transport committee are hoping to end the Abbey Lane circular tram route early next year, whilst the remainder should be replaced by bus services by 1961.

Ald. S. I. Dyson, chairman of the committee, said last week that one of the big problems in the changeover was finding alternative work for older employees. These people had been assured that they would be looked after.
