ABIG reduction in Ministry of Transport advertising this year was forecast in the Commons by Mr. Stephen. Swingler, the Parliamentary Secretary.
He said that in the financial year 1965-6 expenditure on advertising, including statutory advertising, staff advertising and advertising by other Government departments on behalf of the Ministry, amounted to £131,000. Comparable estimated expenditure for the current financial year was £38,000.
