• The European Commission has asked the European Parliament's transport committee to speed up the introduction of pan European speed limits.
The suggested limits for PSVs and trucks up to 12 tonnes are 1001unth on motorways, 80krn/h on trunk roads, and 50krn/h in built-up areas. The proposed limit for trucks over 12 tonnes is 80krn/h on motorways and trunk roads; 701(m/h on "cross-country" roads and 50Icm/h in built-up areas.
