A30 CWT. chassis of the Verdun type, a similar chassis on which is mounted a specially converted van' body, mid a 15.9 h.p: standard taxicab chassis, complete with body as passed by Scotland Yard, comprise the vehicles to be shown by Vinot Cars, Ltd.

As regards the cab, it is interesting to note that the first one of thia make is still running on the London streets after 12 years' c,ontinuons service.

The 30 cwt. chassis has a pressed-steel frame, very strong for the load carried, and reinforced at the narrow part. The engine is a four-cylinder monobloc, 80 mm, bore and 130 mm. stroke.

The leather cone clutch is provided with special adjustment to facilitate engagement of the gears. Of these there are foLur, all gears being of nickel-chrome steel, specially treated and actuated by a gate change lever. The transmission to the rear axle is by way of a cardan shaft. The back axle is specially designed and reinforced and is of the double-reduction type, the first reduction being by bevel gears and the second by spur pinions.
