Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

Straker-Squire, Ltd., Angel Road Works, Edmonton, London, N.I8. Stand No. 47. riLD-ESTABLISHED in the commercial vehicle industry, Straker-Squire, Ltd., have produced and are concentrating upon a single model known as their A type, having a capacity of from three to Ave tons. It is eminently adapted to many varying requirements; for instance, different gear ratios are provided for passenger and goods carrying purposes, and the springing arrangements can be varied according to the working conditions and the load which the Vehicle

is intended to carry. . The exhibit consists of a polished chassis, a single-deck bus of a type which has been designed and built at the Edmonton Works, and an insulated van, one of a repeat order from Morris and Co., Ltd., the well-known meat purveyors._ There are undoubtedly great possibilities in the development of the insulated van for the conveyance of meat from the markets to wholesale and retail butchers whose premises are situated some distance from the markets. The particular body shown is panelled in mahogany, the roof being covered with tongued and grooved pine boards and the best quality of moleskin, the body being lined throughout with pine boards and cork packing 1 in. thick, double doors being provided at the back. The bus shown is very commodious owing to the steering being taken to the forward cross-members of the frame, and the driver's position being carried up close beside the engine. There is ample

headroom in this vehicle, and full attention has been paid to easy access and to ventilation.

The Straker-Squire chassis is full of new points. The engine is of unusually high power, developing 54 b.h.p. at 1,000 r.p.m. The engine and the gearbox are mounted on a sub-frame, the whole of this unit being three-point suspended

and capable of being easily removed in its entirety. Chassis, back axle, springing and steering are all well worthy oi close examination because of the originality in design shown at so many points.
