Catherall applies for new 0-Licence

VOSA SAYS IT IS passing information regarding a Welsh haulier's licence application to the Traffic Commissioner (TC) after a petition was served to wind-up the director's other freight company.

Creditor HM Revenue & Customs presented a petition to liquidate Mold-based aggregates haulier Catherall Haulage, which will he heard in the High Court this week.

However, director Mark Catherall has already applied for a new 0-licence in the name of Mark Catherall Haulage from the same address, with him remaining sole director and transport manager.

When CM contacted Catherall, he confirmed he would not contest the petition and that he was "letting the company go'.'

A VOSA spokesman says: "The new limited company has applied for a licence to replace the existing company. VOSA is aware of the financial status of Catherall Haulage, and upon receipt of all relevant information, the matter will be referred to the TC."
