The RTITB has decided to keep the one per cent levy rate which means one per cent of a company's total wage bill is paid to the Board. This finances the MOTEC courses and the other RTITB training activities.
The lowest limit for the wage bill before the levy has to be paid for passenger transport operators also remains the same at £36,000.
But for agricultural machinery companies and other sectors of the transport industry, except passenger transport, the limit has been raised by £3000 to £24,000 and £21,000 respectively.
