Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• MAN trucks are to be available on the UK market by early 1974 with the first vehicles ready for operator appraisal by the autumn this year. This was announced at a press conference last week by Mr David Blackburn, managing director of Tozer, Kemsley and Millbourn (Holdings) Ltd, who will be handling the distribution and servicing of MAN vehicles in this country.

TKM also runs the BMW car concession in this country but Mr Blackburn emphasized that the commercial vehicle operation would be entirely separate and would be organized through a separate company, MAN (CV Concessionaires) GB Ltd. The general manager of the new company will be Mr Len Baxter who was manager of the truck sales division of Vauxhall Motors Ltd.

First vehicles to appear in the UK will be tractive units and rigid vehicles suitable for gross train operation up to 32 tons. These units will be using the rationalized 232 bhp in-line six-cylinder engine, versions of which are being produced jointly by MAN and Mercedes-Benz. It is also probable that, through MAN's close links with Saviem of France, a range of smaller vehicles will be available at a later date.

Initially four servicing centres are to be set up — in London, Leeds, Glasgow and the West Country — but it is envisaged that a national network of 25 dealers will be established.

TKM has long been associated with MAN by supplying financial aid to the company for setting up dealer networks in other countries, particularly on the African continent.
