MR. JOHN G. DAVIES has been appointed general sales manager of Pirelli, Ltd. MR. W. M. FRIZELL, who was previously home replacement sales manager, has been appointed assistant to Mr. Davies, MR. HERBERT PARSON, chief executive of tyre sales, has relinquished his position, after 36 years' service, on reaching the age of 60.

Mr. J. Hoop, of Adams Butter, Ltd., Leek, has been elected chairman of the Potteries Area of the West Midland Division of the Traders' Road Transport Association. Ma. A. E. Boom, of J. OBITUARY

WE regret to record the death of SIR WY GEORGE BERNARD LOMAS-WALKER.

Sir George, who was chairman of Cresswell's Asbestos Co., Ltd., Bradford, for the past 25 years, died at a board meeting. .
