Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

brakes. Can the brakes be released if the engine cannot be started in order to enable the vehicle to be towed other than by filling the brake reservoir with compressed air from an outside source?

AThe locking action of lock-actuator brakes

is provided by a roller mechanism that grips the push rod by spragging action and prevents release of the brake. The brake is released by a plastics piston when compressed air is applied to the piston. It cannot be released in any other way apart from manipulating the slack adjuster.
