Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

by Gordon Crabtree • The Newcastle-under-Lyme LDoY round at the corporation's Central Depot, Knutton Lane, attracted 144 entrants, the largest entry on record at this centre and 45 more than last year.

First-class organization, however, enabled the last vehicle to go through the final test just before dusk. Although the weather was disappointing, a large crowd stayed for the presentation of trophies, late as this proved to be. There were 38 team entries and one firm, Bass Charrington had no less than 19 vehicles in the contest.

Overall individual winner was E. Webster of Conoco Ltd. Cheshire. Although he did not record the lowest number of points for all classes with his total of 174, he emerged with the trophy and title because of the 51.6 per cent above average mark he gained in his class.

The runner-up was last year's winner, R. T. Hayes. of National Carriers Ltd, against whom were recorded 148 penalty points in winning Class E. He received only a 50.8 per cent above average mark.

The team awards proved a double triumph for L. Morton, J. Roberts and D. J. Selby, for Rist's Wires and Cables Ltd, who won both the overall and local team prizes.
