Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• The RHA has lodged objections to applications for two 0 licences by hauliers; one in the Western traffic area and the other in the South-Eastern traffic area.

The first objection is made on the grounds of insufficient finance and is against the application of Tivoli Contractors Ltd, of 10a Park Row, Bristol, for 13 vehicles, including 12 to be acquired. A subsidiary company, Hamilton Plant Hire Ltd, which operates from the same address, has recently had a writ served on it by another operator relating to an outstanding debt of £22,000.

The second application to which the RHA is objecting is that of Edward Portsmouth Developments Co Ltd, of 7 Dormy Way, Rowner. Three vehicles with an additional six vehicles and three trailers have been applied for and, as in the other objection, the amount of finance is in question.

A third objection, submitted to the South Eastern LA, was received out of time and was therefore refused.
