SDC director Paul Bratton told CM: "We've recently delivered six 10m urban trailers with Dhollandia tuckaway taillifts to Palletforce member Knights of Old and they certainly seem to offer impressive levels of manoeuvrability for town centre drops.
"Pall-Ex member Massey Wilcox has taken delivery of a 10.6m version, while Edge Transport, a Palletline member, is using a 9.8m tandem-axle trailer," he added.
Bratten said that the use of command-steer axles was leading to urban trailers being preferred by operators for work in town centres, rather than rigids, because the drop trailers gave pallet hauliers more operational flexibility.
