Leicester
MR Geoffrey Hilditch, since last year director of engineering and development for the West Yorkshire PTE, has been appointed transport general manager for Leicester Corporation with effect from October 1. He succeeds Mr Leslie Smith who is to retire, Mr Hilditch was general manager at Halifax before the undertaking'S absorption under the PTE system.
Scania distributor
CAMERON Commercial Vehicles has been appointed the Scania distributor for Surrey, Sussex, Kent and the South London area. The first of the sales and servicing centres will be based at Rotherhithe; others will be established at Croydon and Ashford, Kent.
