Group profit before tax of Atkinson Lorries (Holdings) for the year ended March 31 1969 fell to £310.469 (1968: £402,6051, although sales increased to £7,788,954 (1968: £6,988,6741 The profit reduction was primarily due tot substantial loss by the South African subsidiary in the last lief due to a reorganization. This company has now restored profitability and has an improved order book. The New Zealand subsidiary also failed to make a profit, and an onthe-spot investigation is being made by Mr. P. Yates. director. The report shows that the Group's net p-rofit was £124.768, compared with £255,111 for 1968.
