• A useful booklet recently published by Travel and Transport Ltd., (which publishes Coaching Journal and Bus Review), is a guide to the newly formed National bus Company. Entitled Who's Who in the National Bus Company, it costs 6s including postage.
After a brief background to the development of bus company operation in England and Wales, the booklet lists all the senior members of the headquarters staff and their positions, and gives a short description of the set-up of the Company's bus and coach operating subsidiaries, including their grouping into 10 regional areas, each area with a common regional chairman.
All the operating companies are listed in alphabetical order, with details of the board of directors, principal officers, address, brief summary of fleet and so on. Also included is a map of England and Wales showing the areas served by each company.
One request from the publishers—that cash be sent with orders. Cash well spent, I might add. FKM
