• A new Central Engineering Department has been formed by British Leyland's truck and bus division. It will be responsible for the design, development and proving of all new major products for manufacture within the division.
The new department at Leyland will be under the direction of Dr. Albert Fogg, deputy managing director and director of engineering. BLMC, and will have four main design groups under the control of the following executives: Mr. M. R. Dunn (vehicles); Mr. J. McGowan (bodies); Mr. C. P. Windsor-Smith (engines): Mr. S. F. Burnett (transmissions).
