Parliament which proposes to nationalize all transport, and you might find yourself much worse off." Mr. T. W. Nelson, Northern Licensing Authority, made this observation when rejecting an application for a B licence by Mr. J. McCarthy, an ex-Serviceman, of Middlesbrough.
Applicant said that he had been promised work by two concerns, but the objectors held that these companies were having no transport difficulties.
A26 The Licensing Authority remarked that Mr. McCarthy was taking a great risk if he invested his gratuity in the haulage business. There were other jobs that would yield better results.
