rt commercial vehicles is to be built ir Pakistan as a joint venture of Mack Trucks Inc., USA, and Pakistani Government and private sources. Output will be about 2,000 a year, and it is stated that about 50 per cent of the parts could be produced in Pakistan within six years, though the rest will be made inthe U.S.A. Nearly £1.9 m. is to be invested in equipment and use of some existing facilities, and over half of this will be provided by Mack.
The American company has stated that It is planning a similar venture in Australia also, and has started to build an assembly plant in Venezuela as part of a plan for setting up foreign plants through Mack Trucks Worldwide Ltd.
