MAY I MAKE an appeal on behalf of the Leicestershire Transport Society in your column? We are interested in acquiring for preservation a Midland Red Daimler Fleetline/Alexander D12, 6015 GHA 415D. The vehicle has given very good service to this area for seventeen years, and is in excellent condition, being still in service at Coalville Garage at the time of writing and is due for 'withdrawal before the end of the year. We have until February 30 to raise the purchase price of £600.
