Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

I HAVE JUST read with interest your road test of the Transit. While I totally agree with most of what was written in this article.1 found it odd that on the last page you had a cross in the immobiliser box.

To my knowledge the Transit has been fitted with the PATS Ford immobiliser since the mid-'90s. My new 125 TDCi 280 short-wheelbase model certainly has one. as did its predecessor.

I would certainly be interested to know if the one tested definitely didn't have one.

Also, in part of the text it was mentioned that it had window winders and then in one of the photographs I noted two I also don't remember the article mentioning the Transit having ABS brakes as standard from July this year.

By the way, if you want a real owner-driver style Transit mine is pretty cool:it's an executive model with most of the toys available from Ford plus alloys. Its certainly a van to be proud of! Alan Barnard

Another eagle-eyed reader also spotted that the Ford Transit featured in the road test (CM 20 November) is fitted with an engine immobiliser (fitted as standard) and ABS (standard since July). And yes, the picture did feature electric window buttons Ed.
