Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

XHIB1TS of interest to the commercial-vehicle user, in addition to those reviewed in last week's issue, were revealed when the Smithfield Show opened at Earls Court, London, on Monday. The Show, which closes at 7 p.m. today, emphasizes the growing use of trailers which is being made in agriculture.

One of thF: highlights of Stand 78 (Harry Ferguson, Ltd., Fletchamstead .Highway, Coventry) is a 3-ton tipping trailer, fitted with automatic hitch, which enables coupling or uncoupling to be effected without the tractor driver leaving his seat. Another exhibit is a similarly designed 30-cwt. tipping trailer. All Ferguson trailers are designed to transfer a third of the load to the rear wheels of the tractor. The trailers can be used with Ferguson industrial and semiindustrial tractors, one of which is also to be seen.

Weathershields, Ltd., Bishop Street, Birmingham, 5, are showing their 'all-metal cab for the Ferguson industrial tractor on Stand 252.

Two low-loading trailers, one of 15-cwt. capacity suitable for use with a Land Rover, and the other a 7-tonner for short hauls,-can be seen on Stand 29 (Low Loading Trailer Co., Ltd., Dean Street, Bedford).

Ferguson trailers, as well as a pole trailer, are also shown by Markham Traction, Ltd., Stamford, Lincs, on Stand 97. Among the exhibits of Alley Trailers, Ltd., Burnham Market, King's Lynn, Norfolk, on Stand 173, is a three-way tipper. Another is a 5-cu.-yd. combined manure-spreader and moving-floor trailer.

W. and G. (Challow), Ltd., Challow, Wantage, Berks, show a number of trailers on Stand 137. Included are a 2-ton two-wheeled general-purpose unit and a 3-ton hydraulic tipping trailer Charles Pitt (Barton Stacey), Ltd., also have on view a range of versatile trailers.

B32 Stevens Bros. (Fleet), Ltd., Fleet, Hants, stage an interesting variety of generaland special-purpose trailers on Stand 35. A tandem two-horse or cattle carrier is included. There is a Tipmaster hydraulic tipping trailer to be seen on Stand 13 l (Belton Bros. and Drury, Ltd., Eastoft, Scunthorpe, Lines).
