Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

THE CRACKDOWN on insurance cheats (CM 21 July) is very good news indeed.

Read any local newspaper these days and the magistrates' court reports are dominated by motoring cases. These often involve people driving without insurance and they are usually disqualified at the same time.

However, I was concerned at comments made by a representative of the Robinson Leslie Group, which I believe are untrue — things have been as bad as ever in my experience, although perhaps the smaller or ownerdriver operators like me get the worst treatment.

I am retired now, thank goodness, but I have been let down numerous times by insurance brokers.

This includes one who, in spite of repeated calls, did not send my renewal out, so I changed to another company. When the original renewal came, sometime later, the postmark on its envelope was the day after the insurance expired!

The following year there was again no renewal, so I changed again. On asking for a statement of no-claims bonus,! was told that the renewal had been sent out "weeks ago" and that the post office must have lost it.

Then there was the other one who, on the second year renewal, sent out an insurance certificate but no green card.

When I asked for it,it came with a second bill for £400 on top of what! had already paid?
