Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

INDUSTRY RUMOURS that Daf intends to ditch its cruiserweight 9.2 litre diesel, the Euro-4 engine, in favour of buying in Cummins' lighter 8.9 litre ISLe unit, have been denied in Eindhoven.

The company says the present Euro-3 engine, which bears the suffix 'PC' is being upgraded to cut its emissions to Euro-4 level, under the designation PR'. No other details are yet available.

But Daf has previously indicated that the engine's present UPEC 'external unit pump' fuel system is likely to be replaced with the latest-generation common-rail equipment, of the kind used on the 4.5 and 6.7 litre Cummins ISBe engines, which will power Des Euro-4 LF range.
