• Two new round-trip groupage trailer services to West Germany are being offered by Burlington Northern Sea Freight. They will operate on a weekly basis between London, Cologne and Frankfurt and complement existing round-trip trailers running between London, Cologne, Frankfurt and Munich.
The new Cologne/Frankfurt service will initially have two departures each week. A Saturday noon departure from Heathrow arrives in Cologne at 7am on Monday and in Frankfurt the same afternoon. The second trailer leaves London on Tuesday night, arriving in Cologne on Wednesday and Frankfurt on Thursday. Return trailers arrive in the UK for clearance on Wednesday and Saturday.
The company's own 12metre tilt trailers and triaxle supercube trailers will be used, with air-suspended trailers for hi-tech goods and equipment. Burlington offers express rates with a guaranteed 48-hour delivery to any location within 100km of its major destinations.
