forwardcontrol chassis, a mobile library to accommodate 2,000 books is being put into service by Buckinghamshire County Council. Bodywork was built by Strachans (Successors), Ltd., Wales Farm Road, London, W.3.

The frame is of aluminium with 18 s.wg. light-alloy exterior panelling. Behind the driving compartment is the librarian's counter and the two seats may be folded forward to give him more space. A double door for the public is provided on the near side, and there are two steps, the lower riser being sloped back to enlarge the bottom step.

A glazed draught screen is arranged on each side of the entrance. Shelving runs for the whole length of the off side, on each side of the entrance on the near side, and at the rear. Cupboard space is also provided.

Natural light is admitted through six Perspex roof panels, and artificial light is provided by 10 12v. filament lamps. A Smith's combustion heater is fitted, and the roof is insulated with Isollex.
