The many advantages that self-propelled vehicles have over those which are drawn by horses are fully realised by our American friends. Electrically-driven "trucks " seem to be growing in favour in America, although, at the present time, the number of utility vehicles fitted with petrol engines is in excess of those driven by other means. In the City of New York alone, there are no less than 35,000 registered vehicles propelled by internal-combustion motors
