British production will be by International Harvester Company of Great Britain Ltd., the Carr Hill Works having been acquired from Ford Motor Co. Ltd. towards the end of 1963. This was a 300,000 sq. ft. plant on a 15-acre site, but 1H has since leased an adjacent 10 acres from British Railways.

The commercial vehicle sales of International Harvester last year totalled more than £354m., the company having plants in Australia, Canada and Germany as well as in the USA. Export production at the Doncaster

factory will be mainly for the Commonwealth and EFTA markets.
