Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

BURNLEY-BASED EFS Group has snapped up its second same-day delivery chilled haulier in two years, buying Lancs-based Refrigerated Transport Services for an undisclosed sum.

EFS Group MD Mark Jones says the Skelmersdale-based business, which specialises in same-day delivery of temperature-controlled food, is a good fit for the firm. It comes 18 months after it bought Winsford-based 747 Express Freight. He believes it’s a market better insulated against the recession. “There is a gap in the market by producing a more attractive haulage price for same-day delivery than higher priced courier rates,” he adds.

Jones has already expanded the seven-strong fleet, which consisted of vans, 7.5-tonners and 18 tonners, with two more rigids as well as a tractor utilised from the main EFS Group fleet for larger deliveries.
