11 A new method of balancing tyres using polymer-based compound and floating weights inside the tyre has been developed by Alber Chemical.
The key to the balancing system is a chemical compound called Everbalance which, when placed inside a new tyre, automatically evens itself out during the first few kilometres of road use, sticking to the critical areas of the tread's inner face and counteracting any inbalance in the wheel.
Florida-based Alber Corpoi tion claims that front tyre life can be increased by as much 125% following field tests car tied out by Volvo GM in the United States, Now Everbalance, speciat adapted for heavy vehicles, v be launched simultaneously it North America, Canada and Western Europe.
