Major Parts cylinder heads are available for Perkins 4.236 four-cylinder and 6.3543 and 6.3542 six-cylinder engines, as well as the turbocharged and naturally-aspirated V8.540 units. Until the end of January 1985, Perkins parts dealers will be offering a free Powerpart top overhaul gasket set with every replacement cylinder head supplied.
• The Highways Department of Cheshire County Council has increased the number of Perkins powered vehicles in its fleet with a recent order of seven Dodge G10 highway maintenance tippers fitted with 96kW(1 28bhp) six-cylinder 6.3544 engines.
