TRAINING safety officers is not a way out of taking responsibility for safety at work, Employment Under SecretaryJohn Grant told the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents' safety conference at Harrogate.
He said the education of management was a crucial and effective way of changing attitudes towards safety from within industry.
