MR. JAMES D. HENRY, deputy director of public cleansing at Leeds, has been appointed superintendent of cleansing for Dundee, in succession to Mr. W. H. Sagar, who retires soon.
MR. F. M. S. BEST, who has acted as home sales controller to-Vulcan MotOrs, Ltd., for the past few years, has now been appointed production controller of Tilling-Stevens. Ltd., the parent company of the Vulcan concern.
Ma. R. B. STOCKDALE, divisional officer for the North-western Area, Road Haulage Branch, Ministry of War Transport, has been elected to the executive .committee .of. the Liverpool Chamber of Commerce. Until recently he was chairman of the Road Transport Section,
MR. H. DUDLEY PARSONS, well known in Plymouth, where he has been Dunlop district manager since 1925, is going on to Southampton as the company's district manager there. He succeeds Mr. J. W. Wool:), who has been appointed officer in charge of A.R.:P. arrangements at the Dunlop rim and wheel works.
MR, GERALD J. TVILILLANY, who has been honorary, manager of the Liverpool branch of the Hauliers' National Traffic Pool since its inception, has relinquished that position. In other important traffic areas 'the position of manager is a salaried appointment. It is understood that approaches were made to Mr. Mullany some time ago that he should accept a full-time position, on salary, but he declined.
