Held in Fine Weather, the Event Attracted a Large Number of Entrants.

ria HE FOURTH ANNUAL C.M.U..ti.

Parade of commercial vehicles in the Birmingham District was held in Queen's Drive, Cannon Hirl Park, Birmingham, on Saturday week (June 30th). The entry list, was tile largest that has yet beenobscained, and "about 100 vehicles put in an appearance, a notable new entry being that from the City Council, the Public Works and Salvage Depart. meatsof which sent a number of teams to the parade.

The vehicles, as a whole, were a great credit to their drivers, every part of the winner's chassis being spotless, whilst, in two! cases, eartains had been put up in the cab windows. This display of cleanliness was all the more remarkable because many of the lorries had been on delivery work during the morning. "

After the judging, -a procession through sonic of the main streets took place, but was somewhat disorganized by a 5-ton Sentinel wagon, which had an argument with one of the massive brick gate pillars at the entrance to the drive, te the great detriment of the latter, there being only about an inch-to spare with the wider bodies when going through the gateway. The vehicles on reaching Victoria Square dispersed.

Mr. F. G. Bristow was chairman of the Judges' committee, which included Capt. W. F. Peare and Messrs. J. F. Diamond, R. W. Duke, W. Marshall, A. V...Blake, P. M. Saunders, H. Miller, G. P.
