• United Carriers has kept about a third of Multifreight's business since UC closed its multi-box next-day parcels system in December. Retained accounts include Glaxo, Duracell and Pretty Polly.

The Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, a former Multifreight customer, has moved its distribution elsewhere "for the time being".

UC says former Multifreight customers transferring to United Carriers will be using conventional transport.
