Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• A batch of Merriworth 12-metre TIR tandem-axle semi-trailers is being supplied to the Dutch haulage concern of N. de Groot, Rotterdam. The trailers which comply with Dutch regulations affecting axles and kingpin positioning, have floor-to-roof heights of 2.40m (7ft 10+in.) and an internal width of 2.41m (7ft 10iin.). Six more of the same design are due to be delivered next February.

The tandem bogie has a spread of 7ft lin., qualifying it for 10 tons on each of its axles in the UK as well as in most Continental countries.

De Groot's trailers are hauled in the UK by K. R. Easter Ltd., King's Lynn, Norfolk.
