ELEVEN makers with commercialvehicle interests will be exhibiting at the 'British Motor Show in New York from April 15-23, although it is not yet known whether all will show products applicable to commercial road transport. The organizations concerned. are A.E.C., Austin, Daimler, Ford, Jowett, Leyland, Nuffield, Rolls-Royce, Rootes, Rover and Whitson.

The exhibition hall has many pillars hich will cause difficulties in the layout of stands. Some of the spaces are also extremely small and will not accommodate large vehicles.

The fire-engines are required to operate in the narrow streets of the older parts of the city and the trial order for refuse collectors might be followed by successive orders until most of the horse-drawn vehicles are withdrawn.
